2 Weeks In (And The Letter B)...

So far, Samuel is having a lot of fun with this whole homeschooling thing. There are even days when he asks if it's time to "do school" yet or doesn't want to stop and will do extra work after we're done. I love that he has such an interest in learning! We have found that the best time to work is in the afternoon while Caleb naps. That way Caleb isn't trying to climb the bookshelves (that are bolted into the wall), eat the chalk from Samuel's chalkboard, or yank down everything hanging on the wall. Mr. Busy sleeps soundly while we rap and dance to the alphabet, ha!

I think I already mentioned them, but Sam is totally hooked on a specific set of videos that cover each letter and on occasion, I'll hear him in the background singing one of the songs and dancing to it while I'm prepping lunch or putting laundry away. It's rather hilarious at times since Sam dances like your typical white boy -- sometimes it's hard not to laugh, the sweet boy!

It's a (slow) work in progress, but since we're covering a letter a week right now with various crafts/projects, I've only knocked out A and B with the Paw Patrol worksheets. It's funny how easy it is to entice a 4 year old to write when you've got your favorite character on the page. He wants nothing to do with the Crayola Dry-Erase workbooks or your typical PreK worksheets, but if it has Paw Patrol on it, he's all over it! In fact, there are days when he requests to work on these multiple times -- yay for sheet protectors and dry-erase markers!

Feel free to download them for personal use if you'd like…

With the letter recognition pages, my intent was to have Samuel use dot markers to mark each letter that he finds, but they were sold out when I looked, so he's been either circling or tracing each one...

Also, I redid the letter A handwriting worksheets, so if you'd like the updated ones, click below. If you'd like the letter recognition worksheets for A, click here...

    1. Bobbi, thank you for you kind words! It nice to wake up and read such a nice compliment. :)

I'm glad you like the worksheets! I do have the entire alphabet complete, but I never got around to compressing it into one file. As I had a chance to complete them, I posted them. So they're in several postings along the way. Here's a link to a blog post that has a few listed. I hope your granddaughter enjoys them! :)
