With Livy's 1st Birthday/Angelversary next week, we're hitting more and more dates that have significant memories attached...one being today, December 6th. This time last year was spent at a baby shower with my Bible Study group. It was a night filled with so much joy, excitement and love -- anticipating our baby girl's arrival. We all laughed and shared in the gifts that Olivia received -- making several comments on how we'll have to keep everything away from Oba or he'll try and steal it, etc. It was a fun night, and the end was spent on the phone with James -- sharing stories from the night with him since he was so far away. He was so excited, as was I. Of course, Oba didn't share the same excitement as he grumbled while sniffing through the gifts, but that's alright. He was going to have to learn to share -- just part of being the big brother! ;)
This was 4 days before we found out the bad news, and at this point, such news was not even a possibility in our minds. We knew it was just a matter of time before we met our little girl. However, we thought it would've been in a much different way...
I can only imagine the memories and triggers the next week is going to bring. The shower sounded so lovely. I will be sending you extra strong hugs and prayers over the next week. <3 Olivia <3
