Looking Back Over The Last Year...

So, I've been terrible at getting on here. So bad in fact that I don't even know where to start! The last time I sat down and wrote was at the start of the 2016-2017 school year -- oops!

Looking back, we had an amazing first year of officially homeschooling! Sure, there were days when Sam would be a typical 5 year old and not want to focus or do what was asked of him, but overall, he did an amazing job. It's crazy to see how far he's come in just a year! We had a few learning curves with curriculum choices and teaching styles -- all of which comes with the territory of being a new homeschooler. None of it was enough to make me want to throw in the towel, though. When people ask me if we plan to continue, it's a yes without hesitation. I absolutely love the freedom and flexibility and I love seeing the joy on Sam's face when he learns something new. Not to mention the option to teach when and where we want. The field trips...oh, the field trips! I finally made Sam's yearbook on Shutterfly so that he can look back on his year in kinder and wow...when looking back, it's amazing all the places we were able to go to experience different learning opportunities! I couldn't even fit it all in! I'm so thankful that we've been allowed this chance to homeschool and take learning to a different level. It's been such a fun experience!

With that said, I can't wait to get this printed so that Sam can put it with his other books -- ahem...I mean books of Sam and his girls, ha!

Here's a glimpse into Sam's first year of school. How is it that I now have a 1st GRADER?!?!

For some odd reason, if you click on the link, the display is correct, but in this embedded slideshow, pages 15-17 are off and some of the pictures are dark and blurry. Weird!
