In the meantime, I finally sat down and sorted through more pictures. That's right...are you ready to be bombarded by them? It's crazy to look at some of these pics of Sam, knowing how much he has grown since they were taken! I need a pause button!
So before I get into a post about Samuel turning O-N-E year old, I want to catch up a little. So here goes...
More pics from Disney -- what an incredibly memorable vacation with the little man. He had a blast!!!
I LOVED Fantasia as a kid, so this was fun to see...
Okay, now I'm humming the music to that scene...
Did I mention that Samuel LOVED the Nemo exhibit?
And I, of course, had to check out the butterfly exhibit...
Not quite sure what Sam was thinking here...
Considering the fact that we spent a good amount of time in Germany, we couldn't help ourselves...
Oh, and this sort of blew me away. While walking through the German part of Epcot, we noticed they had a sign for Wuerzburg. For those unaware, that's where our son, Jacob Tyler, was born still. There are so many memories attached to that town and of all the towns they could choose to display, they chose Wuerzburg. Oh....sweet baby Jacob...
This definitely brings me back to my childhood...
He was TOTALLY into some of the rides. Here's Samuel as we went into It's a Small World After All...
And man, oh, man did he LOVE Mickey!!! Whoever says they're too young to get it at this age, I beg to differ...Sam was in HEAVEN!
We even heard him squeal in excitement while hanging out with Mickey...
Oh, Donald...Ha!
Samuel had a great time joining in on the song and dance during dinner at Cafe Mickey...
And how could we not get a picture of him with the Patriotic Mickey? After all, we did stay at the Military resort on the property...
For breakfast one morning, we hung out with the characters from Disney Junior. Sam loved seeing Jake from Jake and the Never Land Pirates and June from Little Einsteins, but could less about Handy Manny. In fact, he totally ignored him...
The poor guy is like his momma -- a little slow to get going in the morning...
But that didn't stop him from enjoying the sing-along/dance to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song...
And boy did he LOVE the live performance from Disney Junior!!!
One proud little boy...
Soaking it all in with the soldier from Toy Story...
Yet, he slept right through the Toy Story ride -- the twists and turns never even woke him...
Charge!!!!
Enjoying Animal Kingdom with the boy...
And the best fireworks e-v-e-r...
I love this boy -- I could just squeeze him!
If this doesn't make you laugh, I don't know what will. He was totally unamused by the carousel. He's such a crazy adrenaline junkie like his dad -- he needs serious thrills, not slow moving horses! Ha.
However, considering the height requirements for most rides, Dumbo will do...
As we were leaving the park to head home. What a great and memorable trip to FL! I'm SO glad it worked out for us to get down there before we moved here to the desert. It was such an amazing trip!!!
And so...the next thing on the list of updates is Samuel's ONE year birthday!!! But, of course, that'll have to wait. Here's hoping with the holiday weekend, I can sneak away to the computer again soon...
Who is this giant man-baby who has taken over!? My how he has grown.
ReplyDeleteThe pic with Donald is my fav. . .too funny
I love seeing the pics of sweet Sam - what a big boy!! So hard to believe he is almost 13 months old!! I agree about a pause button. I am glad that you had such a memorable trip to disney and I love that you had a few reminders of your angels while you were there. Miss you guys.
