Happy Halloween!

So, I'm not one to dress my dog up -- ever. However...thanks to a major sale at Petsmart, I couldn't pass up such an opportunity. Just seeing the outfits on display made us laugh. Poor Oba didn't know what was coming to him when we got home. He got all excited, jumping up and down, thinking there was a treat in that bag for him. Little did he know, it was more of a treat for us -- 5 minutes of entertainment at his expense.

Say hello to this year's Lobster...

As you can tell, he didn't exactly enjoy the abuse. We had a few laughs though. Poor Oba...

After we were done torturing him, we did go on to give him something that he would actually enjoy -- a new toy! While we were rummaging through the costumes to find XXL for Oba, we ran across a toy that we thought Oba would absolutely love -- a screaming witch. Come to find out, Martha Stewart has her own line of dog toys now -- who knew?!? Well, she has one where when you throw the toy (in this case, a witch), it screams. We found that to be the perfect toy for Oba, since he kills whatever toy we give him in a matter of minutes. At least the toy can express to him what it thinks of his murderous ways...

That poor toy...in the arms of a killer...

There goes the "hair"...

Here's a video of Obadiah right after we showed him the new toy -- lovely, isn't it? Ha...
Excuse the mess...I still have yet to finish hanging frames, etc., so there they sit on the couch!

  1. I also laughed at the 'lobster' hound, er, Oba's cute costume. Anyone wants for a gigantic lobster for Halloween dinner? Hehe. Sorry Oba. He's adorable in it. Looks like we went to Petsmart at the same time. We were there last night, just laughing our arse off looking at pet costumes. I don't usually dress up pets, too, but we plan to go to a Howl'oween Parade in our downtown today so we need a costumed representative and Tobi is it. Good thing the costumes are already on sale. I'll post pics at the blog about the event (a.k.a. I'll post picks of our puppy 'suffering' the costume. Ha.) Oh I forgot to check out the doggy toy section, I would love to get that screaming witch. In Oba's video, it sounded like she really is being torn to pieces. Poor thing, it's her fate to be torn to pieces by a killer Oba. I hope you and James have a nice night out this Halloween. Don't forget Oba's treat. (^_^)

  3. I love seeing Oba munch on the poor witch after he brings her into the living room. How funny! I wonder if he thinks the witch made the outfit completely worth it. He looked awfully cute as a bassett lobster. I hope this Halloween is a gentle one! Sending you hugs!
