A Day of Celebration!

Well, we made it back from our Alaskan cruise yesterday, and just in time to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary! Hard to believe that 8 years ago today, James and I tied the knot. So much has happened since then; 4 moves, 3 babies, and 3 deployments...I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for us -- hopefully a 4th healthy baby and perhaps a year or two withOUT a 4th deployment.

We, of course, spent our anniversary like we do every year...with pizza. It's been a tradition ever since our wedding night. After the festivities of the actual wedding day, we found ourselves starving not long afterwards, so we ordered pizza late that night. Well, every year since, we've continued to do so. Cheesy, I suppose, but fun. This year, we decided to try Garlic Jim's since we hadn't tried it yet. We even went fancy and had wine with our dinner, HA! On our cruise, one of the couples that we had dinner with were so thankful for James' service that they sent a bottle of wine to our room later that night. (How incredibly sweet of them!!!) We're not really wine connoisseurs, but we figured we'd save it for tonight. Good times.

Of course, even though we keep up the tradition of pizza every year, we also like to celebrate with a nice dinner out. However, we generally save that for a weekend or two after the actual anniversary. James has been craving a good quality steak for awhile now, so I suppose Morton's (or something along those lines) may be in our near future...

Speaking of our anniversary and the cruise, NCL was kind enough to recognize it. When we got back to our room one night, we found this...
This was the cute little cake given as part of it...
Well, here's to 8 years! Happy Anniversary, Jamie! Love you!!!
