Losing a child is the worst thing a parent can experience, and reading this news just reminded me again of how it can happen to anyone. To those out there that are pregnant and have not gone through this, do NOT forget to do your kick counts and monitor that baby's movement! After my little scare on Monday, my peri's office reminded me to obsessively watch Sam's movements and even go as far as to poke and prod him occasionally to make sure he responds. I was already doing that, but it was a good reminder either way. Sure, kick counts won't prevent all deaths, but it can definitely help.
My heart goes out to this family, as they now have to deliver their baby girl in silence. Many prayers being sent their way!
It breaks my heart to hear that it has happened to another family. No one is safe from this tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
ReplyDeletePart of the cruelest things of being in this club is that you never, ever want anyone else to join and it breaks your heart when they do.
ReplyDeleteyet, whenever people go on to have healthy pregnancies and babies, I can't help but feel more self pity of "why me!?".
I hope they are surrounded by lots of love and support as they begin this journey.
