Names In The Sand...(Lake Tahoe)

Now that I have all of my pictures from the last month uploaded online, I was finally able to send out the pictures taken while we were in Lake Tahoe. While going through them, I realized that I didn't have nearly as many names on hand as I had thought. I wish I would've had more, as there are so many Babyloss Mommas out there that I keep up with! Hopefully the next time we come across a beach, that will be the case...

When doing something such as writing names in the sand, or writing them on a decorative notepad in front of a beautiful landscape (like Jennifer), I find it so incredibly sweet when you see the husbands participating as well. I feel like it just shows you how much this affects them too! The Babyloss dads tend to be more silent in their grief, but actions speak so loud with something like this.

While writing the many names in the sand, I turned around and saw James doing the same...

The proud daddy was making sure our three had their names written...

Sitting back and remembering our three...

I have a feeling we will be doing this again the next time we spend the evening on a beach!

  4. I agree, it's nice to see the husbands participate too. I did a little name project when we went to Faith's Lodge and I thought he would think I was a little silly, but he enjoyed it as much as I did. Thanks again for the pic...it was such a nice surprise.

  5. Wow, the names are written so beautifully!

I found my husband writing Jacob's name out of twigs on the beach once and it broke my heart. I had been working on names projects, and he had given me his opinion, but when I saw him doing that, it really hit home just how much he was suffering too, especially since he hid it, and still hides it, most of the time.

  6. Such lovely pics! Yes, having our hubbies join in our way of memorializing our children means so much. It just shows that even though we grieve differently, we can be together in our love for our lost babies. How truly wonderful are the daddies of our children.

Thanks for thinking about Kai on this trip, too. <3
