Well, after an evening spent loading pictures, toying with the madness that is online scrapbooking (it's more time consuming than you would think!) and dealing with the poky Shutterfly website (that kept freezing or shutting down!), we now have a free 20 page 8x8 hardcover photo book of our Alaska cruise! With as many pictures as I take, I'm horrible at doing anything more than archiving them online. I rarely print an actual picture these days -- let alone, scrapbook them! I'd love to, but I just never getting around to doing it. So when these deals come around, I make every effort to benefit from them. I mean, why not? After all, it's FREE! Plus, I'm finding these books to be much more convenient than the typical photo album or thick, handmade scrapbook. They're slim, lightweight and themed. I made my very first one earlier this spring for Livy's book, and have done a few since then thanks to various freebies. Maybe one day I'll use all of the scrapbooking materials that I've bought through the years, but until then, thank you Shutterfly for your amazing deals!!

Thank you, Shutterfly...
So, I'm sure it comes as no surprise to those that know me, but when I found out about a Shutterfly deal including a FREE photo book, I had to take full advantage of it! Only problem...I found out about it right before the deadline. As a result, I didn't end up getting a chance to work on it until just hours before the deal expired. So...guess what we did tonight? Yes...I say we, because as I would work on each page, I'd ask James' opinion on either a background or a layout. Ha. He likes having input on such matters. So, while watching various History shows on TV, he glanced over from time to time to help design it.

I love it! Shutterfly is handy and generous with their deals. But most of the time, I receive them on the deadline day itself or worse, after deadline. Argh! I'm never lucky with it and I guess am too lazy to beat the deadline. Heh.
ReplyDeleteYour photobook is lovely. Thanks for sharing it. :)
