I really don't mind...

So a few conversations that occurred earlier today reminded me of this topic. To those of you that have ever wondered...angel moms REALLY don't mind talking about their kids. We also don't mind talking about what happened. In fact, if the other angel moms are like me, I appreciate being asked. It's nice to know that our babies are thought about, and that people are actually interested in knowing about them. Now granted, there are a few inquiring minds out there that may ask just to be polite, but it's clear the minute you open your mouth to answer that they really don't care to hear the response. However, for those of you out there that really are curious, that do want to know, or care to hear about it...don't hesitate to ask. It's not going to make it any more painful than it already is. It's not going to bring up bad memories that I'm trying to suppress. It's not going to make me have insomnia any worse than I had it before our conversation. If anything, it will bring some kind of relief or comfort. Those of us that have angels in Heaven rather than happy, healthy kids here on Earth only have these memories to hold on to and talk about. We don't have the latest greatest picture that was taken of our child(ren), or the cute story to be told of what they said at dinner. So even if the memories are sad, that's all we have to hold on to and have no problem talking about it. We, as angel moms, want the memory of our child(ren) to remain alive somehow, and talking about them is a good way of doing that...
