Etsy...

Who here is on Etsy? I'd love to check out your creations! It wasn't until my sister convinced me to create an Etsy page to sell some of the things she had previously hired me to make that I finally caved. I love all the fun things you can find on there -- not to mention it's a fun creative outlet for me. Most recently, I was hired to do a few ads for a fellow photographer as well as a couple birthday invitations. I only mention any of this because one of them stands out and I think it's hilarious…

My sister called me one day and asked if I could make a birthday invitation for my niece. I thought, sure, easy enough. That was until she described what she wanted and I thought she was rather nuts. "An Easter bunny's body with Mackenzie's head on it and a pink/purple glitter background." Wait, what?! Her birthday's in September and that just sounds weird. Her head on a bunny's body? Are you sure? She insisted and as I laughed throughout the creation, I have to admit, it turned out super cute! Deb had envisioned this very specific card and when it came to fruition, it was perfect! It fit Kenzie perfectly and the party was a total hit.
